Sanctification
Do we really want to know Jesus Christ in all of His manifestations

Have we become too satisfied in just getting to know apart of Him
Without searching to know Him in His fullness
Have we tainted His pureness

Trying to behold Him with our natural mind
Haven't spent time with Him but yet we try to tell folks about His design

Repeating what you've heard others say
Who do you say that I the Son of Man am
Can't really tell because we're so busy chasing uncle Sam

Saying that we know Christ to be a provider
But yet we're missing out on our devotions
Skipping  out on our prayer
Tryna make a name for ourselves to our boss
But have we counted up the cost

Having what we call free time
Time to do what we want to do
But did not Jesus say that after we've received the Holy Ghost that we would be witnesses
But yet we have all this free time
While folks are out there dyin
We'll keep time for ourselves
Then have the nerve to be around the alter cryin

Knowing Jesus in the power of His resurrection
But tend to run from the fellowship of His suffering
What happened to taking up our cross and following Him
Do we think that suffering is something that we don't have to endure

Wanting to be made
Wanting patience
Wanting faith
Desiring all this but yet not willing to go through the fire
Being Christ like
Is that really your desire

To live is Christ
And to die is gain
But in this stagnant condition
We rather remain

Its time for me to break loose from this curse
Allowing Christ to be manifested
If I want to know Him
Then I truly have to put Him first
